The F1A has been specifically designed for Light Commercial Vehicles, and is the result of more than 35 years of experience in the field.

Top-class load response, power and torque output with maximum efficiency are achieved with advanced air handling systems such as new variable geometry turbo electronically controlled, or fixed geometry turbo with waste-gate valve.

F1A engines lead the category in terms of power and torque. Time-to-torque is the shortest in its class. Thermodynamic performance is optimized by advanced air handling systems. Starting temperature (with glow plugs) can be as low as -25° C.

Optimum fuel efficiency has been achieved with engine friction reduction, variable displacement oil pump, cooling system optimization, downspeeding calibration, latest-generation Common Rail technology, multi-valve distribution, maintenance-free hydraulic valve adjusters and advanced air handling systems.

35.000hrs at test bench and 1,3Mio Km of fleet test to improve the durability up to 350.000km. Mechanical excellence, optimized DPF regeneration and minimum oil consumption allow service intervals of up to 50.000 km.

For Euro 6 standard, there are 2 different solutions: Low Pressure EGR + NSC (NOx Storage Catalyst) to differenciate vs. price sensitive customers; High Pressure EGR + SCR to stay in the mainstream of the Total Cost of Ownership addicted customers.
