Designed for the most demanding missions of construction equipment, NEF series is the main example of FPT Industrial’s technological excellence. Since 2001 more than 2 million engines have been produced for a number of applications: agriculture, construction equipment, on-road, marine and power generation.
With best performances in the category in terms of both power and torque, fuel efficiency and reliability, NEF series stands out for its flexibility, featuring 4 (N45) and 6 (N67) cylinders configurations, with either structural or non-structural design and a wide range of options to customize the solution according to the customers’ needs.
Thanks to FPT’s pioneering EGR free combustion and exclusive, patented HI-eSCR2 after-treatment technology, NEF series represents the productivity benchmark in mid-range applications, with further enhancements in performance and efficiency with newly designed Stage V engines.
Thanks to the EGR-free architecture, latest generation Common Rail injection, turbocharger and redesigned hardware, NEF engines ensure optimal combustion efficiency. This means low fuel consumption and high power density.
Stage V NEF engines feature a performance increase compared to Stage IV / Tier 4 Final ones with same engine displacement and no layout changes: up to 150 kW on N45 (+15%).
Best-in-class service interval up to 1200 hours thanks to new high capacity filters with clogging sensor. Maintenance-free HI-eSCR2 for low running costs over lifecycle (no need to replace the after-treatment system). Optimized fluid efficiency with EGR-free combustion.
