​F5 series represents the compact and flexible solution for light and midrange applications, delivering high performance with low operating costs.

The FPT solution for applications above 56kW (75hp) is the new F36 Stage V, increasing engine displacement from previous 3,4 lt adopted at Stage IV / Tier 4 Final to 3,6 lt with no changes in external dimensions, thus ensuring unchanged compactness. Improved engine hardware includes new turbocharger and optimized piston design to cope with higher performance, increasing power output by 14% (up to 105kW / 143hp) and torque by 20% (up to 600 Nm), setting best in class torque density in its segment.

F36 features a 4 cylinder architecture, 4 valves per cylinder,with 1800 bar common rail injection that, together with the lowest EGR rate in the market, maximize combustion efficiency and engine output.

Electronically-actuated turbocharger with wastegate allows for prompt engine response, a key requirement for applications challenged by quickly variable loads.

While meeting Stage V emission, HI-eSCR2 aftertreatment does not require layout changes compared to previous Stage IV / Tier 4Final, avoiding significant machine redesign, such as the unchanged cooling requirements across emission stages.

Sharing the same robust design approach, F34 with 3,4 lt displacement is the solution to cover application below 56kW (75hp) with prompt engine response and high torque output to, once again, ensure quick engine response.

F34 adopts a 2-valve cylinder head, common rail injection and wastegate turbocharger.

Oil change interval up to 600 hours and one-side serviceability reduce operating costs and simplify maintenance operations over lifecycle.

Compactness and configuration options make F5 engines suitable for a wide range of applications from compact construction and material handling machines to industrial applications, as well as for installation on versatile agricultural tractors with structural cylinder block.

To fulfill StageV emissions requirements, F36 features the HI-eSCR2 system, a maintenance-free system marking a further step in FPT Industrial’s long-term SCR experience

F34 StageV for applications below 56kW is equipped with a compact DOC+DPF solution, ensuring ease of use and low operating costs.

EASY AND LOW COST MAINTENANCE
Specific design allows to install fuel and oil filters on the same engine side for easier and faster maintenance.
Moreover F5 adopts tried-and-tested technical solutions (such as mechanical rotary pump injection and fixed-geometry turbocharger) to guarantee easy and rapid repair and best in class 600 hours oil service intervals, minimizing total cost of ownership and vehicle downtime

PERFORMANCE
Based on proven mechanical rotary pump, the F5 engine has a direct fuel injection system for accurate fuel delivery, representing the optimal solution in terms of performance and flexibility of use, with 100% biodiesel compatibility.
F5 Series is turbocharged with air-to-air aftercooler system depending on power output for prompt and fast operation.
