Description

Developed for the most demanding heavy duty needs, the Cursor family provides robust design for highly intensive missions in a wide range of agriculture and construction applications from 175 to 570 kW.

First launched in 1998, the Cursor range has gone through continuous improvements to keep pace with growing customers’ requirements in performance and efficiency, while complying with stricter emission regulations and always offering innovative technical contents, such as variable-geometry turbochargers, high-pressure common rail injection, new materials and breakthrough after-treatment technologies.​


CURSOR family is FPT’s flagship engine series for off-road, designed to provide high performance for applications with highly intensive missions, ensuring low operating costs, high performance and maximum productivity

Specifically designed for heavy duty off-road applications, Cursor Series’ proven robustness and reliability leverage on structural strength, representing the right solution for the most demanding agriculture, construction and industrial applications (such as large-size tractors, harvesting machines, wheel loaders, forestry equipment).

The HI-eSCR2 system does not require any parked regeneration avoiding unplanned stops maximizing uptime.

Transient behaviour is further improved by VGT turbo, delivering prompt engine response to highly variable loads.

FPT’s patented HI-eSCR2 system is a maintenance free, “fit and forget” solution ensuring low operating costs and maximizing vehicle uptime.

Avoiding the use of DPF, the FPT’s patented HI-eSCR system represents a maintenance free “fit and forget” solution ensuring low operating costs and maximizing vehicle uptime.

RELIABILITY
No DPF and “regeneration free” ATS system to avoid any risk of system clogging while ensuring safe operations even in dusty environments.

PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY
“Heavy Duty” Common Rail injection, well proven Wastegate (WG) turbocharger delivering high power and torque output (both power density and torque density 11% above market average), with competitive fuel consumption.

MAINTENANCE
Best in class for oil change intervals (600 hs) resulting in reduced vehicle downtime and improved productivity. Lean engine layout, designed to ensure fast and easy maintenance operations.

RELIABILITY
Long-skirt engine block delivers improved stiffness and low noise & vibrations, andwhile ensuring outstanding robustness and reliability in heavy duty working operations.
