Description

The F1 series, specifically designed for light commercial vehicles, is the culmination of over 40 years of experience in the field. The F1 family includes the F1C NG engine (3.0 l), the only natural gas engine for light commercial vehicles and minibuses, which offers unparalleled sustainability and is 100% compatible with biomethane without any modifications.

Natural gas, the most eco-friendly fuel for internal combustion engines, offers significant environmental benefits. It almost completely eliminates pollutants which affect air quality, and also offers significantly reduced CO2 emissions which contribute to global warming.

The F1C NG engine offers low fuel consumption and low noise compared to diesel thanks to FPT Industrial's unique multi-point stoichiometric combustion: with this engine, fuel cost savings of up to 20% compared to a diesel equivalent are achieved. It also boasts extended oil change intervals of up to 40,000 km.

Like all F1 engines, the NG version is available for both transverse and longitudinal installation. It can be customized upon request, and is optimized for integration with the Hi-Matic automatic transmission.

Derived from an industrial diesel engine, the F1C NG is a leader in terms of durability and reliability thanks to the solution without exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) which also offers low fuel consumption and faster transient response.

It complies with Euro VI Step E2 with a simple after-treatment system (three-way catalyst with CPF and without EGR), ensuring lower CO2, NOx, and PM emissions compared to equivalent diesel engines.
