FPT Industrial comes back to the track in Latin America. The 2018 edition of Copa Truck has started and FPT Industrial supports the Lucar Motorsports team, represented by the pilots Beto Monteiro and Luiz Lopes, who wear number 88 and 99 respectively.
The vehicle they’re running with is an Iveco Hi-Way, fitted with an FPT Industrial Cursor 13 engine, specially developed for the vehicle. This engine can deliver a maximum power of 1200hp and a max torque of 1700Nm@1200rpm.
The competition will end in December in Curitiba, but before that, all participants are travelling through Latin America in nine different stages, passing through Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. At the moment, Beto Monteiro – who ran with an FPT Industrial powered vehicle even last year – is ranked sixth in the overall ranking, whilst Luiz Lopez achieved the fifth position in the most recent stage, on July 29 in Campo Grande, in Brazil
