FPT STRENGTHENS ITS LEADING POSITION IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR, SUPPLYING ITS N67 ENGINES FOR THE DEUTZ-FAHR 8 SERIES TTV
FPT, the Iveco Group brand dedicated to the design, production, and sale of powertrains and solutions for on- and off-road vehicles, as well as marine and power generation applications, has signed a new agreement with SDF for the supply of its N67 engine, which powers new DEUTZ-FAHR 8 Series TTV, launched at Agritechnica 2025. This represents an important partnership secured by FPT, marking a significant milestone that consolidates the brand’s leading position in the agricultural sector, as it reaffirms itself as a reliable and preferred partner for OEMs worldwide.
DEUTZ-FAHR, part of the SDF company, is a leading German brand operating at the vanguard of high technology for agriculture, with the mission to supply reliable, premium quality, and high-performance tractors and agricultural harvesting machines.
The new DEUTZ-FAHR 8 Series TTV stands out for its technology, premium comfort and advanced digital intelligence, offering exceptional performance and efficiency for demanding agricultural applications.
The FPT N67 engine was the perfect choice to equip the machine. It indeed guarantees best-in-class power density, and its compact design plays a key role in enhancing the maneuverability and overall handling of the machine, ensuring optimal performance even in the most challenging operations. The N67 integrates seamlessly with the new 8 Series TTV and guarantees responsiveness and fuel efficiency. Compatible with HVO, it also features a 1,000-hour oil change interval, ensuring reduced maintenance costs and maximum uptime. In addition, a dedicated structural oil pan and integrated engine management software were co-developed to meet the specific requirements of the new DEUTZ-FAHR 8 Series TTV. With class-leading performance in terms of power and torque, fuel efficiency, and reliability, the N67 stands out for its flexibility, featuring a six-cylinder configuration, with a wide range of options to customize the solution according to customer requirements. Thanks to FPT’s pioneering EGR-free combustion and exclusive, patented HI-eSCR2 after-treatment technology, the NEF series represents the productivity benchmark for mid-range applications, with further enhancements in performance and efficiency with newly designed Stage V engines. As the market leader in the agricultural powertrain sector, the FPT NEF family is the optimal choice for the most demanding applications in the field, embodying the brand’s commitment to technological excellence. Since its introduction in 2001, more than two million NEF engines have been produced for a wide range of applications, including agriculture, construction, on-road, marine, and power generation. With over 100 years of expertise powering tractors and agricultural machinery, FPT proudly celebrates a century of innovation and excellence. This remarkable legacy highlights the strength of its technology, the proven reliability of its products, and the enduring trust earned from customers through consistent performance in the field. “We could not have celebrated Agritechnica in a better way. This new partnership with the DEUTZ-FAHR brand is a clear sign that we are recognized as a strong and reliable partner in the industry,” stated Sylvain Blaise, President of Iveco Group’s Powertrain Business Unit. “As a company, we have always worked with our customers’ needs in mind and with innovation at the core of everything we do. The agriculture segment is rapidly evolving, and rather than simply keeping pace, we aim to be the steady hand our customers can rely on. This partnership is a shared success for our entire team, and we are confident it will pave the way for future achievements together.” “To achieve the performance standards we set for this new generation of tractors, we engaged in a strategic co-development partnership with FPT. Combining FPT’s leading powertrain solutions – with over two million engines produced and a proven record of reliability – with SDF’s engineering expertise has been crucial,” states Alessandro Maritano, SDF Chief Commercial Officer.
