Shared, interactive, efficient and flexible, the Iveco Group brand’s new offices in Contagem (MG), Brazil adopt shared management for a hybrid work model.

The project is a benchmark for plants around the world, and includes scheduling of use and a space reservation application

 

 

A leading player in the drive for a sustainable future, FPT Industrial, Iveco Group’s global powertrain brand, presents a new workspace that encourages shared, interactive, efficient and flexible coexistence. The brand is opening its new office in Brazil at a point in time that demands a new format, with a hybrid working model. Located in Contagem (MG), Brazil, the smart office adopts a shared management concept, in which employees, customers and suppliers can hold meetings, work together, and even enjoy coffee breaks in a light-filled and inspiring environment.

 

The bold design of the space was developed alongside the company's leaders, in joint workshops. The objective was to understand the return to the work environment, with days of home working alternating with days in the office. This flexibility allows times of use to be scheduled in advance and work materials organized during each person's stay.

For this, FPT Industrial provides an application for scheduling rooms and facilities. The same tool will be useful in the future for booking use in other plants, integrating the company's global team, as part of the smart office project – a benchmark for different plants around the world.

The first floor is the “heart” of the smart office: a spacious and welcoming place, where everyone can meet; it is also particularly inspiring, so that creativity is ensured a place during colleagues’ work. This space for connection between colleagues will allow solutions for customers to be developed more quickly and dynamically.

Modern-day “phone booths” have been installed so that phone calls and videoconference calls can be made without disturbance. Users have an exclusive cabinet to store their materials and a coffee area, where FPT Industrial Store products can also be found. 

 

On the second floor are the meeting rooms, where the teams get together to meet the demands of the different segments in which the brand operates – on-road for cargo transport, off-road for agricultural and construction machinery, maritime, and power generation. The smart office also houses FPT's Brazilian Research & Development center, a laboratory that serves to develop applications to meet the needs of the regional market, working in an integrated manner with the brand's other R&D centers around the world.

 

The external area offers a mixture of home comforts and a space for inspiration: the living area. People can relax as they prefer in the pouffes, chairs, hammocks, and at the tables, connected with the world and with FPT Industrial.
