The Chinese Railways Bureau and Mecno Service have chosen high-performace, low-maintenance and fuel-efficient NEF engines to power the cutting-edge tangential rail grinders operating in China for the grinding of 367 km of track and 80 turnouts in a dozen days. The great performance of the engines enabled the opening of the Chongqing High-Speed Circular Railway on schedule. Therefore, a N67 TE2F engine, which is an intercooled turbocharged, liquid cooled, 6,7 liter engine, moves these machines on the railway line, delivering a power of 165 kW.
