An important delivery of more than 500 battery packs destined to IVECO BUS will sustainably move a fleet of E-WAY full-electric 18 m articulated city buses in Belgium. The 69 kWh FPT Industrial Battery Pack - a modular battery pack offering impressive energy density, for best-in-class performance in city bus applications - will be assembled and tested at FPT Industrial’s new ePowertrain Plant in Turin (Italy). This is the first totally carbon-neutral Iveco Group plant “where innovation happens” that achieved its targets by offsetting its CO2 emissions with the purchase of energy from renewable sources and carbon credits. The supply of battery packs to Flemish government-owned public transport company De Lijn will then begin to be delivered in 2024. Potentially, it will continue over the next six years.
