THE TURIN ePOWERTRAIN PLANT. ELECTRIC MOBILITY BEGINS HERE

Outside are solar panels, a mini wind turbine and a Smartflower with silicon elements which follow the path of the sun. But also a garden with over 100 native plants which absorb CO2. Inside, 15,000 m2 with three parallel production lines which leverage Industry 4.0 technology to build modular battery packs, central drives for LCVs, and eAxles for heavy commercial vehicles. Inaugurated on 18 October, the new ePowertrain Plant on Strada Cascinette in Turin, northern Italy, is destined to provide a decisive – and 100% sustainable – boost to electric mobility in the field of short-, medium- and long-range passenger and goods transport. But that's not all. At full capacity, it will employ over 200 people and will be able to produce over 20,000 eAxles and 20,000 battery packs per year.
