The new Prinoth LEITWOLF h2MOTION concept snow groomer is both powerful and clean, the first in the world to be powered by a hydrogen fueled engine – by FPT, naturally. The 13-liter, 6-cylinder engine puts out 440 hp and 2,000 Nm torque, and this partnership of excellence represents the first practical off-road application for the XC13. The setup is similar to that of a diesel engine, but with practically zero emissions. The hydrogen is stored in five rear tanks, for run time of around three hours’ work on wide and demanding ski slopes. Just weeks from its launch at IAA Hanover, the new XC13 is already busy scaling the heights of sustainability.
