Can a country where 97% of diesel consumption is used by the transport sector think about going down the energy transition road? In FPT Industrial’s opinion – absolutely! The products the company exhibited at its stand at FENATRAN in São Paulo, Brazil – a key trade fair for the whole of South America – are clear proof. Alongside the very latest Euro VI engines, visitors could see the new multi-energy XC13 engine, designed to use an enormous range of fuels, from biomethane to hydrogen, and the new N67 NG for commercial vehicles. Also on show were the electrified solutions manufactured and assembled in the brand-new ePowertrain plant in Turin, Italy: e-axles, central drives, battery packs for vans and buses, and Battery Management Systems. Great visibility was also given to FPT Original Reman, with its range of remanufactured engines and transmissions which contribute to the creation of a fully fledged circular economy.
