FPT Industrial takes to the track in Brazil

FPT Industrial’s Cursor 13 engines are the beating heart of the IVECO trucks competing in COPA TRUCK 2021, Brazil’s largest truck racing championship.
Jointly designed by teams of engineers in Brazil and Arbon, Switzerland, the six-cylinder Cursor 13 engines were specifically prepared for the competitions and can reach a staggering top speed of 250 km/h. The “giants” have been placed in the capable hands of the Usual Racing team drivers, Felipe Giaffone, Djalma Pivetta and Valmir Benavides.
Multiple champion Felipe Giaffone seemed the most enthusiastic about the new engines from FPT Industrial, alongside whom he’s already won numerous times: “The engine has all the power we need, we just need to find the best way to translate that on the track. Its straight-line speed is really something!” Isabela Costa, marketing manager at FPT Industrial for South America, adds: “The Copa Truck is a testing ground to show off power, excellence, reliability, technology and innovation. And we’re ready for the challenge.
