CHARGE! FPT INDUSTRIAL PARTNER AND PROTAGONIST OF ELECTRIC DAYS

FPT Industrial was the only industrial engine manufacturer invited to participate in Electric Days, the first entirely virtual event dedicated to electric mobility. 5 very intense days, filled with debates, virtual meetings, inquiries and purchase guides to understand technology and make an informed selection of the electric cars, vans, trucks and buses of today and tomorrow.
Along with FPT Industrial, all the elite global car manufacturers were there, with the special and necessary participation of important energy and technology companies. On two days, FPT Industrial was a key player in the event. On 9 February, in the "Electric Talk" meetings dedicated to the engineers and protagonists of the energy and technological transition, Davide De Silvio, FPT Industrial's ePowertrain manager, along with Giovanni Gaviani, e-Powertrain Business Development Manager for Texa, and Giulio Lancellotti, Bosch Sales Manager Connected Services and IoT Solutions, moderated by Fabio Orecchini, a journalist specialized in innovation in the Auto and Mobility sector and Director of Guglielmo Marconi University's Sustainability Engineering Department in Rome, discussed the developmental possibilities of the electric engine. They talked particularly about the level of development in current electric engines, possible improvements to the efficiency of chargers and inverters, the use of data to increase performance, and parallel development for battery and hydrogen electric. It was a heated and interesting debate which, among other things, was credited with brining the question of electric engines back into the foreground: in fact, there is a lot of talk about batteries, but then, how can we use all this energy to move around and transport people and goods? On 11 February, there was a decisive change of tune, tanks to the highly anticipated participation, which launched the Electric Lifestyle day, of “our” Academy Award winner, Giorgio Moroder, musician, composer and renowned producer, as well as author of “Preludio”, the soundtrack for FPT Industrial engines. In addition to captivating the audience with his charisma and anecdotes about the pop music world and more, Moroder traced the milestones of his collaboration with FPT Industrial and premiered a few bars of the electric version of “Preludio”, destined to become the “sound” of the energy transition toward sustainable mobility. Furthermore, as event partner, FPT Industrial made good use of its “electric space” at the event site, including information on the brand's innovation in terms of electric mobility and the relative ongoing projects, as well as an intriguing video interview with Annalisa Stupenengo, FPT Industrial's CEO, where alternative engines and drives of the present and future were discussed, as well as how the CEO of the largest manufacturer in the world of low environmental impact engines sees the future of electric sustainability, not only in transport, but also in agriculture, construction, marine power and power generation. Reference was naturally also made to Cursor X, the engine designed for planet Earth and characterized by its 4 "M"s (Multi-power, Modular, Multi-application and Mindful) which is the true symbol of FPT Industrial's multi-clean-fuel approach.“Being the only industrial engine manufacturer invited to this event is a source of great satisfaction for us”, said Annalisa Stupenengo “and, above all, it is recognition of our excellence in the field of research and design of new electric mobility systems. Industrial and commercial vehicles are certainly part of the polluting emissions problem. This is why we at FPT Industrial want to do our part to create solutions.
