THE HEART OF THE SUSTAINABLE TRACTOR OF THE YEAR 2021 IS FROM FPT INDUSTRIAL

The Claas AXION 960 CEMOS model equipped with the FPT Industrial Cursor 9 Stage V engine was voted ‘Sustainable Tractor of the Year 2021’. The 6-cylinder engine mounted on the tractor, awarded for its economic and, above all, ecological performance, guarantees maximum power of 327kW/460 HP at 1,800 rpm and 1,860 Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm. But that's not all. Of the 18 tractors nominated in the various segments of the Tractor of the Year 2021 award, no less than 7 have an FPT Industrial heart: Claas AXION 960 CEMOS – Cursor 9, CASE IH QUADTRAC 620 – CURSOR 13, Landini SERIE 7 V SHIFT – N67, New Holland T6.160 – N67, STEYR 6240 ABSOLUT CVT N67, CASE IH VESTRUM 130 CVX DRIVE – N45 and VALTRA F105 – F34. The ‘Sustainable Tractor of the Year’ award was assigned for the second time and its purpose is to those tractors, chosen from among all the categories of the Award, that stand out for their overall sustainable technologies applied to agriculture. During the awards ceremony, virtual and broadcast in live streaming for the first time due to the limitations imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the judging panel, made up of 26 journalists from specialized agricultural periodicals, explained their choice: “With the Claas 960 Axion, thanks to the Cemos system, a big step was taken toward more sustainable . All the technology available on this tractor is easy to use like never before. The optimization of all the technology and electronics, not to mention optimization of the tire pressure, ensures significant fuel savings for this tractor, as well as much more efficient performance in the field and in any operating conditions.” The Cursor 9 Stage V is a member of the FPT Industrial family of top level engines dedicated to off-road applications and it was custom designed to guarantee maximum productivity in particularly intense and severe applications. Of the main characteristics of this winning engine, the following are definitely worth a mention: • Extremely high-level performance with 9% more power density than the market average in the 9-liter category
• Its extremely quick response under load and exceptional productivity in the field, thanks to its high torque and the eVGT system
• Its extraordinary efficiency, low fluids consumption and proven reliability thanks to EGR-free combustion and the second-generation Common Rail system
• Its low operating costs, thanks to the exclusive, maintenance-free Hi-SCR2 post-treatment system
We are proud to have provided our contribution to achieving this goal”, says Marco Zanelli, Head of the Off-Road Market Segment. Once again, the Cursor 9 has proven to be the ideal solution for all off-road vehicle manufacturers who want extremely high performance, low consumption and true sustainability, both economic and environmental.”
