These are some of the FPT Industrial stats from Bauma China 2020, the biannual show dedicated to products and components for off-road construction machinery that was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from 24 through 27 November. The undisputed star, not only of the stand, but of the entire event, was the multi-power F28 engine, recently crowned Diesel of the Year 2020, for which a specific and widely-attended official presentation ceremony was held for the Chinese market.
Dedicated to the development of machinery for compact and high productivity construction machinery, the F28 engine presented at Bauma China 2020 is available in the diesel version, but it is also ready for natural gas and hybrid fuel systems, confirming the brand's constant attention to sustainability.
Some of the other off-road applications of the “engine of the year” in the construction field are telescopic loaders, welders, shredders, trenchers and small excavators.
