With this, the brand contributes to the latest success of IVECO, who earned the prestigious Sustainable Truck of the Year award in the category dedicated to Tractors.
The Sustainable Truck of the Year award, now in its fifth edition, was created by the specialized Italian magazine Vado e Torno. The winners are selected by a panel of professional journalists based on the sustainability index introduced by Vado e Torno.
Natural gas (NG) is currently the most feasible and convenient sustainable solution, and FPT Industrial leads the segment with more than 55,000 engines sold all over the world. If used with compressed or liquefied natural gas, the brand's NG engines significantly reduce CO2 emissions. They can also run on biomethane, which drops emission levels to almost zero.
This 6-cylinder engine guarantees maximum power of 338 kW/460 HP at 1,900 rpm for the IVECO S-WAY NP 460, as well as 2,000 Nm of torque at 1,100 rpm and the same performance as a diesel engine. Its design guarantees maximum reliability and a longer life cycle. It is the only natural gas engine that can boast a range of 1600 km and it has also established a new point of reference in terms of consumption, with 4.12 km per kg of gas.
