The second edition of the Diesel Progress Summit Awards was held with a fully virtual awards ceremony. This event rewards major innovations in the automotive field in as many as eight different categories, and considers only products already available for sale since the previous year.
In the prestigious Electric or Hybrid Application/Component of the Year category, the innovative zero-emissions system for a mobile Diesel generator boasting 300 kVA of power from FPT Industrial, Energy Rental, Sices and Riello UPS finished on the podium.
Presented at the DPE 2019 in Rimini (Italy) and developed in collaboration with Energy Rental, Sices and Riello UPS, the system combines and integrates two high efficiency continuity modules with two high performance battery systems that can be powered by a traditional external line (i.e. electricity mains) or by renewable sources (i.e. photovoltaic panels) and an FPT Industrial 8.7-litre Cursor 9 engine type approved for the most recent European Stage V emissions standard.
For the first time anywhere in the world the high power and efficient performance of a power generator equipped with HI-eSCR2 technology has been combined with a system designed to produce minimum impact on the environment, and it is silent, easy to transport and very flexible to use. This unique system was built to be used during entertainment, fashion and sports shows and events, those situations in which the reliability of the power generator and the environmental compatibility with the presence of a large audience are decisive. The new and innovative system is also equipped with a remote monitoring device with geolocalization and transmission of parameters via supervisory apps and software that allow the user to learn the operating status of the entire system and of any critical problems in real time, even without permanent supervision.
