A global first for the FPT Industrial brand. On 9 July, with the affixing of a special, permanent sign beside the main entrance to the clubhouse, the partnership was officially launched between FPT Industrial and the Fishing Division of the Porto Rotondo Yacht Club in Sardinia.
This technical partnership between the brand and the Fishing Division of one of the most prestigious Yacht Clubs in the world, founded in 1985 by a group of sailing enthusiasts, launches a collaboration which intends topromote the brand and its branch dedicated to marine engines, and to be physically close to its end customers, cultivating its values of humanization and “customer centricity”.
The partnership between FPT Industrial and the Porto Rotondo Yacht Club also anticipates having the Brand as sponsor of important sporting events connected to the Big Game Fishing world, the first of which will be held on 21 and 22 August: It will be the O' Offshore Trolling - “Powered by FPT”, a sport fishing “catch & release” competition dedicated to the Mediterranean spearfish. A scientific project has been active since 2019 on deep-sea fishing and satellite monitoring of the Mediterranean spearfish, born out of collaboration between the Maguro-San Foundation, IGFA and Stanford University. The goal is to learn the migratory habits and behavior of the Mediterranean spearfish using the most refined and modern technology currently available.
