FPT Industrial also recreated the Guinness World Record boat experience at its stand at Cannes Yachting Festival 2018, using immersive reality through an active cockpit. Visitors could play on the seat set up with a steering wheel and an accelerator, wearing a virtual reality headset.
In total, there were 534 visitors during the six-day event – 1 player every 6 minutes – who felt the excitement of piloting the virtual boat, following a determined path in the fastest time possible. The person with the best daily score received a scale model of the world record boat as a reward. The real boat was also exposed at the stand.
