FPT’s certified range delivers power, reliability, and innovation through reliable vehicle engines designed for demanding on-road applications. Covering the F1, NEF, and CURSOR families, the portfolio spans displacements from 2.3 to 12.9 liters, with power outputs from 85 to 442 kW (116 to 600 hp) and maximum torque up to 2,850 Nm. These solutions provide cost-effective performance for daily operations of commercial vehicles, including LCV and minibuses.

All FPT engine families include natural gas engines, delivering clean, low-emission performance with reduced CO₂ impact. Engineered for low noise, long service life, and extended maintenance intervals of up to 50,000 km, they ensure daily savings and compliance with current emission standards. The natural gas range covers displacements from 3 to 12.9 liters, power outputs from 100 to 382 kW (136 to 520 hp), and torque up to 2,500 Nm. With over 100,000 units sold since 1997 and more than 60% European market share, FPT solutions stand among the most sustainable transport engines available today.

The family of truck engines

High performance, reliable engines with low fuel consumption

NEF and Cursor commercial truck engines deliver robust, reliable, and efficient power for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. Supporting urban routes, regional distribution, long-haul transport, and demanding construction missions, they are also ideal for specialized applications such as waste collection trucks, municipal fleets, and street sweepers. With outputs from 118 to 442 kW (160–600 hp) and torque from 580 to 2,850 Nm, they rank among the most fuel-efficient truck solutions in their class.

Two engine families meet these requirements. The NEF family includes the N45 4.5L and N67 6.7L engines, also available as natural gas truck engines. The Cursor family features four models: the C9 8.7L, available in diesel and natural gas versions; the CURSOR 11 11.1L; the CURSOR 13 12.9L, available in diesel and natural gas versions; and the advanced multi-fuel XCURSOR 13 12.9L, offered in diesel and natural gas configurations, with a future hydrogen truck engines variant.

Both NEF and Cursor diesel engines feature an EGR-free architecture that reduces fuel consumption while ensuring outstanding reliability, confirming their position among the most durable and emission-compliant truck engines for demanding heavy-duty applications.
