The forged piston is the only moving component that completes the combustion chamber. Its reciprocating motion creates two distinct volumes—minimum and maximum—which, through synchronization with the engine valves, allow the intake and expulsion of the fluids essential for fuel combustion.
During compression minimum volume, the engine piston compresses the air, facilitating the combustion of the injected fuel diesel. The overpressure generated by the engine combustion system acts on the cylinder head, cylinder, and piston; since the piston is the only component free to move, it travels toward maximum volume, converting this pressure into force transmitted to the connecting rod and subsequently to the crankshaft.
