FPT INDUSTRIAL PARTNERS WITH GIORGIO MORODER FOR A SPECIAL EVENT IN MUNICH

When two pioneers meet, the future will take your breath away. FPT Industrial and Giorgio Moroder have joined forces in Munich last April 8th, for an unforgettable event during the BAUMA week that perfectly marked the beginning of a very special project.

“It’s great to start up this project with FPT Industrial in Munich: here I started my career and I’ve opened my studio, the Musicland, where I’ve produced the greatest artist such as David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, the Queen, Freddie Mercury, Elton John and many others. And it’s here where I found Donna Summer and we recorded I Feel Love”.

Giorgio Moroder is an artist that a deep impact with its musical innovation and he perfectly fits all the FPT Industrial brand values. It’s a great opportunity for the Brand to share a common vision about the future.

“I’ve always loved to experiment with the relationship between man and machine. “I Feel Love” has a mechanical, electronic rhythm made by the synthesizer and Donna’s amazing voice, the human heart of the song. This innovation had so much impact in the music business that even Brian Eno told David Bowie “Giorgio has found the sound of the future”. And it’s great to see how popular the song is, even after all these years.”

Giorgio also stated that the nature of the project is something all-new and groundbreaking. This has a crucial role in the decision of being part of it.

“I’ve always been fascinated by great challenges. I’ve had many requests from brands in my career, but they usually ask to use my hits in their TV commercial. FPT Industrial instead proposed me something completely new and unique, that really intrigued me: a pioneering project, both in music and in powertrain technology”.

Giorgio also has a great passion for engines, their sound and their performance.

“I’ve always been fascinated by the automotive industry: in the ‘80s I developed a supercar with the engineer Claudio Zampolli and with the legendary designer Marcello Gandini, the Cizeta Moroder. It features a V16 engine with a stunning sound: it’s still a great emotion to drive it in my free time on the streets of Los Angeles.

The project will be unveiled by the end of 2019 but there are still many important steps to take: Giorgio is a master in crafting iconic sounds and no details will be left to chance.

“Soon I will visit the FPT’s Research and Development Center in Arbon, Switzerland: I can’t wait to talk to the engineers, get some inspiration from the technologies that will be featured in the next generation of engines and power solutions. It’s going to be a great challenge and I’m ready to begin!”.
