Cursor Series engines, delivering maximum power output from 245 to 570 hp, represent the best solution for long-distance and heavy-duty trucks over 16 tons of Gross Vehicle Weight.

The Cursor family also offers two natural gas versions for minimum emissions.

Features & benefits

Cursor natural gas engines can deliver same torque output, and therefore same performance as Diesel (Cursor 9). They specialize in urban missions (Cursor 8) and long-haul (Cursor 9). The new Cursor 9 CNG/LNG is the first alternative-fuel engine specifically designed for international goods transport, offering 18% more power than direct competitors, record power density and best-in-class weight-to-power ratio.

Fuel cost savings vs Diesel amount to up to 30%. Moreover, both CNG and LNG are significantly less expensive than Diesel in most European Countries.

FPT Industrial boasts over 20 years experience in natural gas technology, and it has been first to adopt the stoichiometric technology that now is standard in the sector. High reliability and serviceability contribute to low maintenance cost together with oil change intervals at 75.000 km (Cursor 9).

A simple and easy to install 3 way catalyst Is enough to reach Euro VI standards: the emission level of natural gas-powered vehicles is significantly lower compared to Diesel, and can reach near zero by using bio-methane.
