CURSOR series is FPT’s flagship engine family for off-road, designed to provide best in class performance for equipment with highly intensive missions, ensuring low operating costs, high performance and maximum productivity.

Specifically designed for heavy duty off-road applications, Cursor Series’ proven robustness and reliability leverage on structural strength, representing the right solution for the most demanding agriculture, construction and industrial applications (such as large-size tractors, harvesting machines, wheel loaders, forestry equipment).

Available in 4 engine models (8.7, 11.1, 12.9 and 15.9 lt displaceme​nt), Cursor engines come with a 6-cylinder architecture featuring the most advanced Common Rail injection system (up to 2200 bar) to ensure optimal combustion efficiency; proven turbocharger architectures allow airflow optimization to deliver high performance and low fuel consumption.

With long-standing EGR free technology and our exclusive patented HI-eSCR​ aftertreament, Cursor engines represent the right choice for fuel efficiency, low operating costs and maximum reliability.

​Originally developed in 1998, the second generation of Cursor13 has been launched in 2013 introducing a new heavy duty Common Rail system and revised engine hardware. Different turbocharger solutions (WG and high-performance two-stage versions) ensure optimized output to meet a wide range of requirements.

PRODUCTIVITY, PERFORMANCE, EFFICIENCY
NO EGR architecture and latest generation “Heavy Duty” Common Rail injection, ensure optimal combustion efficiency resulting in high performance and low fuel consumption.
Top-class two-stage turbo version (2stT) is able to cope with the most demanding power requirements while guaranteeing optimal fluid efficiency (up to +15% torque density Vs. market average).
The HI-eSCR system is regeneration-free, allowing continuous operation avoiding unplanned stops during daily activities, especially when operating in indoor environments, thus improving uptime.

MAINTENANCE
Avoiding the use of DPF, the FPT’s patented HI-eSCR system represents a maintenance free “fit and forget” solution ensuring low operating costs and maximizing vehicle uptime.

RELIABILITY
No DPF and “regeneration free” ATS system to avoid any risk of system clogging while ensuring safe operations even in dusty environments.

PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY
High pressure Electronic Unit Injector system, simple and efficient Fixed Geometry Turbocharger with power and torque output aligned with larger 16-lt engines and delivering competitive fuel consumption.

MAINTENANCE
Best in class for oil change intervals (600 hs) resulting in reduced vehicle downtime and improved productivity. Lean engine layout, designed to ensure fast and easy maintenance operations.

RELIABILITY
Robust engine block and simple engine layout designed to ensure outstanding reliability in heavy duty working operations.
